Areas of Learning
The Revised Curriculum consists of the following areas of learning:
- The Arts
- Language and Literacy
- Mathematics and Numeracy
- Personal Development and Mutual Understanding
- Physical Education
- The World Around Us
- Religious Education
In each of the seven areas of learning, staff will promote children’s abilities and confidence in using the cross-curricular skills of
- Communication
- Using Mathematics
- Using ICT
All subjects are compulsory although parents may exercise their right to withdraw their child from RE classes
