Happy New Year!

What a strange start to the new term with all of our boys and girls taking part in home learning to try and stay as safe as possible in these unpredictable times.

So far this year, our ECO Reps have been working so hard to help our school maintain our Green Flag Award. They have been checking our electricity usage in school and we have been thinking of ways which can reduce our use of electricity and tracking the differences that these measures make. For example, our ECO reps are responsible for ensuring their class interactive whiteboard and lights are out when their class is not in the classroom.

Our ECO Reps have also been encouraging all their classmates to make use of reusable water bottles rather than single use plastic ones. They also encourage their classmates and teachers to recycle as much as possible with any waste they have in the classroom.

Our reps have also been planning a special ‘Fair Trade Fortnight’ for the pupils at our school. This will take place after half-term when we will all hopefully be back in school together. This will give all the children in our school a frat insight into what Fair Trade means and what products they use that all have the Fair Trade mark on them.

Keep an eye out on our page to see what we get up to when we are back in school again.

Stay safe everyone!

Mr Anthony
