Happy New Year

8th Jan 2019

Welcome back to school for another busy term.

During January lots of you will be enrolling your pre-school children for P1 in September. Remember we are here to help with online enrolment or to provide a paper form if you prefer. Please phone the office if we can assist you in any way.

There are lots of exciting new things happening this month.

Some of our Foundation Stage pupils will be taking part in Moo Music sessions along with speech therapy input. This is a great opportunity to support speech and language development in a fun environment.

Hannah McClements, our school speech therapist, is also working with some of our younger pupils, building their confidence and language skills.

Ciara Warnock, whose is an Autism specialist, has started a Lego Club for our P7 pupils to build social skills and prepare for transition to Post-Primary.

Our P1 and P2 staff will also receive Solihull training this term which will help them deliver even better emotional and mental wellbeing support to our youngest pupils.

All staff have been working hard to develop our numeracy curriculum and to stretch the potential of every pupil according to their ability. This has involved work with year group and whole school planners to ensure that progress is steady and incremental. We have some outstanding mathematicians in our school.

We would ask you to continue to make excellent attendance a priority. Our class awards each month are very important and exciting for the children. You can help them make their class into winners!

As always I am happy to meet with parents and carers to discuss anything that might affect your child's happiness or progress at school.

To be the best we can.
