Welcome to Mrs Louden’s Primary 4 class page.

This term our topics are 'Bug, Birds and Beasts’ and 'Houses and Homes'. In these topics, students will look at different types of vertebrates and invertebrates and look at classifying animals. As the sunny weather begins we will be spending more time in our lovely forest looking for minibeasts and collecting data based on our topic. In 'Houses and Homes' we will be looking at different types of houses and how houses are built. We will be exploring our local area and going on a walk near our school.

Our class novel this term is ‘Matilda’ which the children have been looking forward to all year! This term we will be completing our computer tests for Literacy and Numeracy.

In ICT we are using Just2Easy to create minibeast posters, graphs and worksheets. We are also using Scratch Jr to develop our coding skills.

Through weekly Activity Based Learning (ABL) sessions the children will have hands-on opportunities to reinforce these concepts in engaging and interactive ways, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience.

We also have our fabulous school show and we will be looking ahead to next year and getting ready to move on to Primary 5.

It is a term packed with fun, discovery and hopefully some sun!
